Xolotl – Innovations and Traditions in the Arts and Sciences of Being
Spiritual, Ancestral, and Ecological Layers of Being
A heartfelt greeting from El Cuentro, Cacaotepec, Mexico.
Today, we open the 25th EUROTAS Conference —
Xolotl – Innovations and Traditions in the Arts and Sciences of Being
Spiritual, Ancestral, and Ecological Layers of Being
October 22 – 26, 2025
Xolotl: Ancestral Weaving for a Planetary Future
The theme Xolotl invites us to remember weaving and being woven not merely as symbolic gestures but as ancestral practices that bind psyche and soul with the living environment.
In Indigenous cosmologies, the weaver integrates personal gesture, ancestral memory, and ecological rhythms. Each interlacing of hands and threads mirrors how human consciousness is woven into the collective fabric of evolution.
Weaving as Cosmology, Pedagogy, and Ceremony
Here, weaving emerges as more than craft — it becomes cosmology, pedagogy, and ceremony.
Through intercultural and multidisciplinary dialogue, weaving transforms into a planetary tool — an act of resilience, remembrance, and regeneration.
This practice opens pathways for humanity to evolve toward a consciousness of interbeing, where knowledge systems and spiritual lineages are honored, braided, and carried forward.
Honoring the EUROTAS Global Network Lineage
The EUROTAS Global Network Lineage does not begin here — it has been woven through decades of visionary co-creation, collective resilience, and shared commitment to planetary transformation.
It is a privilege to stand within this lineage, in service to transcultural weavings of pluriversal epistemologies and relational ontologies, paving the way for new horizons of planetary
consciousness.
